College Internship Program (CIP)
The College Internship Program provides individualized, post-secondary, academic, internship and independent living experiences for young adults with Asperger’s, High-Functioning Autism and other Learning Differences.
Our mission is to graduate young men and women of confidence, character, and integrity capable of making contributions to society and claiming their place as citizens of the world.
Social and emotional growth precedes all other growth. Acceptance and understanding of self establishes a foundation on which the individual can build a productive and happy life.
Students are encouraged to pursue their special interests alongside college classes and/or internships.
Admissions Criteria
- Documented diagnosis of a Learning Difference such as Asperger’s Syndrome, High-Functioning Autism, Nonverbal Learning Disability, PDD-NOS, ADHD and/or Dyslexia.
- Low average to high intelligence.
- Emotional, behavioral, and psychological stability.
- High level of motivation to meet program goals.
- Potential to live and attend college or vocational program independently.
- Ages typically 18 to 25 years old.
