Student Educational Development Fund (SEDF)
Our mission is to provide financial support for the college educational needs of individuals with Asperger’s Syndrome, Non-Verbal Learning Disabilities, High-Functioning Autism and other Learning Differences, whose families are unable to afford the costs and are not eligible for support from outside means such as government grants. The SEDFund also supports professional development of faculty and staff responsible for the education and services required for those individuals it serves.
SEDFund Does Two Things:
- Provides financial aid to learning differenced students who will truly benefit from receiving it.
- Provides professional staff training opportunities for educators.
Our Beliefs
Young people with learning differences have so much to offer the world. They are often under-employed, because of their lack of social understanding and competency. They often live lives of isolation (with or without a college degree). Self-knowledge and understanding is the key that can unlock the door to an open life.
