Coyote Coast Summer Leadership Project
The Coyote Coast Leadership Project (CCLP) offers a unique summer day-program for teens ages 13-17 from the San Francisco, Marin & East Bay Communities. Students in the program have generally experienced social challenges and often have diagnoses such as Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD and High-Functioning Autism.
Each three-week session will provide students with opportunities to participate in a variety of service-learning projects which incorporate team-building and problem-solving exercises. Hiking trips, indoor rock climbing, outdoor ecology lessons and field trips to local attractions are also important components of the program. Through various partnerships, program participants can choose from a variety of projects including: sustainable agriculture, plant or creek restoration projects, small animal husbandry, and other similar project activities.
The CCLP service learning projects provides an opportunity for participants to experience the satisfaction of completing a physical project and giving back to the community. The registration process includes in-person screening and assessment. The program is not designed to serve clients with severe behavioral disorders. Program operates four days a week, 9:30 am-3:30 pm
